It’s not up to the government to establish national integration. The government has the obligation to ensure that there are no discriminatory laws, to ensure that all are treated fairly and are given equal opportunity to succeed. The govenment cannot legislate respect for one another and it cannot legislate away individual biases. That is up to us, the people, to accomplish.
The government has desegrated the public school system. But go to a school cafeteria and see how students segregate themselves, by choice, not by edict.
