How do you think society will look like in a global disaster situation?

Let’s say there is a pandemic, global economic collapse, peak oil, climate change, or all of these disasters happening in response to the other. What would be the repercussions on society? Keep in mind that these events would be life changing as well as very historical. How would life change? Lastly, how real is the possibility of such an event or events happening? What are your thoughts on this.
