How and why does Plato argue that the possession of private property inhibits the creation of a just society?

How does Aquinas show that private property can be useful to the creation of a just society? How does Hobbes’ distinction between possession and property permit the creation of a society that guarantees natural right to life and freedom? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each theory?

What is the purpose of government in society?

Is it to benifit the society or to control the mob? Is the business of government social or capital? I ask this in philosophy because it requires a philosophical answer.
What I really am asking, is government there to provide services to it citizens or is it there to force confomity and obedience to authority as a benifit to trade.

Why is happiness put on a pedestal by society?

they say happy is the BEST thing a person can be,
what is wrong with being sad, mad, indifferent, etc? why is happiness better than those other feelings according to society?
the majority of people like being happy rather than sad? not true. i was conditioned to believe happiness is to be the most enjoyed emotion. i grew up being told that i should do what makes me happy all the time and strive to be happy.
some people are masochists and they enjoy pain or sadness more than happiness.

What is the most ridiculous / unneccessary part of life in modern society?

Think of it like this: you only live once.
Society has created guidelines and “laws” which exist only in the human mind. Society is contrived and as much as we think we are individuals, we all conform to these laws.
We are just animals after all. Primal instincts mean nothing, what is right or wrong is defined by “rules” and “policies”.

Why does society allow some men to dominate over others? And is it right?

We are all created as equal humans, so why does society feel it can assign less worth to one man than it can to another. For example the King is more important than the Common man, they are both human yet one life is valued more than the other. I find this completely wrong.
Though some men are given authority, it doesnt mean they are more a man than the bum on the street.
